This Privacy Policy explains how the ANI CUT website (ani-cut.vercel.app) and the ANI CUT desktop application handle personal data. ANI CUT is made by its author in Slovakia (“we”), who is responsible for this processing. Contact: anicut.lukas@gmail.com.
You can download and use ANI CUT without signing in. Your projects, drawings, audio and other content stay on your device and are never uploaded to us — unless you have Pro and choose to put a project into ANI CUT Cloud (section 4a).
If you sign in with Google (in the app or on the website), Google tells us your Google account ID, email address, name and profile picture. We do not see or receive your Google password. We use these details only to sign you in and to know whether your account has Pro.
We have no user database of our own. The app keeps your sign-in on your computer, encrypted by your operating system. Your name and picture are only shown in the app and not stored by us anywhere else.
Payments are handled by Stripe, which may act as the reseller of Pro. You enter your card details only into Stripe’s own secure payment form (on our page it is embedded directly from Stripe, or you can pay on checkout.stripe.com). The card details travel straight from your browser to Stripe over an encrypted connection. We never see, receive or store them.
To link your payment to your Google account, Stripe keeps a customer record with your email address and your Google account ID. Stripe also keeps the subscription, payments, receipts and the information it needs for taxes. When you ask whether you have Pro, our server asks Stripe — that is the only place your subscription is recorded.
If you pay for an export without Pro, the payment in Stripe also records the internal ID of that project (a random code, not its name or content), so that the export can be unlocked for exactly that project.
One Pro subscription works on up to three computers at once. For this, the app sends a random installation number (not a hardware fingerprint) and we store it, together with the day it was last seen, in your Stripe customer record. Signing out removes that computer; computers not seen for 30 days drop off by themselves.
If you have Pro, you can put projects into ANI CUT Cloud to open them on your other computers. Only the projects you choose are uploaded (after a one-time question, and new projects if you leave that switched on). A project in the cloud contains everything it has on your computer: drawings, images, audio, video and its timeline, plus its name and the date it was changed.
Only the services needed to run ANI CUT: Vercel (hosts the website; keeps short technical logs such as IP addresses), Cloudflare (hosts our server, the payment page, ANI CUT Cloud storage in the EU and installer downloads; keeps short technical logs), Google (sign-in) and Stripe (payments). Some of them may process data outside the EU under the safeguards the law requires, such as standard contractual clauses. We do not sell or share your data with anyone else, and we do not use it for advertising.
Your Stripe customer record is kept while you have Pro and afterwards only as long as tax and accounting law requires. Projects in ANI CUT Cloud are kept as described in section 4a (at most 30 days after Pro ends). Sign-in data on your computer is removed when you sign out; when you sign out, ANI CUT also offers to remove cloud projects from that computer.
Our website sets no tracking or advertising cookies and uses no analytics. When you use Google sign-in or the Stripe payment form, Google and Stripe may set their own cookies that are needed for sign-in, payment and fraud prevention.
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, or to receive it in a portable form — write to anicut.lukas@gmail.com. Records Stripe must keep by law cannot be deleted before that time. You can also complain to a data protection authority; in Slovakia that is the Office for Personal Data Protection (dataprotection.gov.sk).
ANI CUT is not directed at children. Paying for Pro requires being old enough to enter into a payment agreement where you live, or a parent’s or guardian’s consent.
