In short: ANI CUT is free to use, including commercially, and there is an optional paid Pro upgrade. Everything you draw, animate and export is yours — we claim no rights to your work, whether or not you have Pro. What you may not do is resell, rebrand, decompile or redistribute the program itself.
This End User License Agreement (the “Agreement”) is a legal agreement between you (“you”) and the author of ANI CUT Studio (“we”, “us”) covering the ANI CUT Studio software, its installer, updates and accompanying materials (the “Software”).
By installing, copying or using the Software, you accept this Agreement. If you do not accept it, do not install or use the Software.
We grant you a personal, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to install and use the Software on computers you own or control, for personal, educational or commercial purposes.
This is a license, not a sale. We retain all ownership of the Software.
The Software comes in two forms. The free version is the one described on the ANI CUT website and is free of charge, with no ads, no watermarks and no limit on what you may export or do commercially with your work.
Pro is an optional monthly subscription, priced at €8.99 per month, which unlocks additional features on top of the free version. It is billed through Stripe and renews every month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time under “Manage subscription”; Pro then stays active until the end of the month you have already paid for. Pro is tied to the Google account you buy it with and can be used on a limited number of computers at once. The current price is always the one shown on the ANI CUT website at the time of purchase.
Not buying Pro never disables, expires or limits the free version, and never touches work you have already made.
You are welcome to build your own launcher, shortcut, menu or wrapper that opens ANI CUT, and to connect your own accounts and content to it through the means ANI CUT itself provides — for example signing in with Google, or opening your projects, favourites, language or help. This is allowed.
What is not allowed is using such a launcher, or any other means, to reach inside ANI CUT: you may not read, copy, alter, repackage or inject code into the Software, unlock Pro or any paid feature, remove or defeat its licensing, integrity or update mechanisms, or otherwise access anything beyond the interfaces ANI CUT openly offers. A launcher may sit next to ANI CUT and start it; it may not break into it.
By subscribing to Pro you agree to the following, in addition to the rest of this Agreement:
All drawings, animations, audio, projects and exported files you create with the Software belong entirely to you. We claim no ownership, no license and no revenue share in them. There are no watermarks and no restrictions on commercial use of your output.
The Software checks periodically whether a newer version is available and may download and install it automatically. Updates are covered by this Agreement. You can turn automatic installation off in the Software’s settings.
The Software includes open-source components that remain governed by their own licenses. Those licenses take precedence over this Agreement for the components they cover.
The Software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Keep backups of your work. You are responsible for safeguarding your projects.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, nor for loss of data, loss of profits or business interruption arising from the use of or inability to use the Software, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in this Agreement excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country are unaffected.
This Agreement terminates automatically if you breach any of its terms. On termination you must stop using the Software and remove all copies of it. Section 3 (your content), 7, 8 and 10 survive termination.
You can end a Pro subscription at any time as described in section 2c. Ending Pro only ends Pro — the free version and this license stay.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer in your country of residence.
We may update this Agreement for future versions of the Software. The version of the Agreement shipped with the version you installed is the one that applies to it. The current text is always published on this page.
